My indexical photography series explores the power of goods to represent an identity. It pushes the function of packaging to evoke human qualities that are relatable and also its ability to strengthen them. It makes an attempt at encouraging people to recognise how brand identities can be used to represent a culture or a community. This is visualised by showing a side-by-side comparison of bottle tops with no unique characteristics alongside bottle tops with ornamental qualities and unique designs. It prompts the viewer to choose a bottle top and think about the factors that made them choose a certain one. For eg: the bottle top with flowers on it might represent a bubbly personality that is extroverted and enjoys opening up to people.
