Better Body Bombay is a new line of skincare from India. The products are yet to be launched and are currently in print and production.

COLOUR

Each colour system was matched to the ingredients of the respective product as an indicator of the products flavour. The client wanted the base colour of the product to be grey, so all the other colours were created to work with the grey. We chose cool toned colours to complement it.

ILLUSTRATION STYLE

The client wanted clean and abstract Scandinavian style illustrations for each flavour. We created organic shaped icons for each flavour.

TYPEFACE

The target audience for the brand was a young and modern demographic. Hence, we played around with some stylised fonts with different stroke widths.

LAYOUT

The face of the bottle was kept clean and minimal. We established a hierarchy in the text by adjusting the boldness, size, and capitalisation of the text to decide what part of the text should be read first by the consumer.

We gave two proposals to the client, one that was one a plain off white bottle with the gradient blobs. Eventually the client chose the other direction with the grey background and illustrative approach.

This packaging project was developed during my time at The Open Art Project as a summer intern with Shiva Kant Vyas and Raina Himani. Everything from the font selection, colours, layout, and illustrations were a collaborative effort.

ABOUT

THE BRAND

VISUAL

SYSTEM

This was the initial proposal from our team which was more inspired by clean Japanese design. It made use of gradients and organic blob shapes to evoke a sense of the flavour of the product.

We eventually went with this direction.
